I took this picture of the Orion constellation with a regular 50mm lens on my camera. The camera was attached to the telescope so it could follow the stars during the one minute exposure.
The best way to find Orion is to look for the three stars that make up his belt. With your eyes you won't see so many little background stars so it will actually be easier to find.
